Learn about the conflicts, political impacts and history of colonisation in the region and how the Yuin Nation are reclaiming their cultural identity. 🌿 The Impacts of Colonisation on the South Coast – Cultural Tour Nar-Oo-ma Aboriginal Cultural Tours is proud to present a powerful new experience: The Impacts of Colonisation on the South Coast — a 3-hour guided tour designed to share the lived history of the Yuin people from the 1950s to the present day. 🪃 Led by Traditional Owners on the serene waters of Wagonga Inlet, this tour offers a unique opportunity for NGOs, government agencies, corporations, local businesses, and individuals committed to Truth Telling and reconciliation. What You'll Learn: • The historical and ongoing impacts of colonisation, segregation, and assimilation policies • The social, cultural, and environmental effects on South Coast Aboriginal communities • Insights into the South Coast Native Title claim and the NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Act What to Expect: • A relaxed and welcoming setting aboard a locally built vessel • Guided storytelling and discussion led by South Coast Traditional Owners • Morning tea featuring tea/coffee, scones with native jam, fresh fruit, and a cheese platter • Intimate group size (up to 20 participants per session) for a meaningful experience 🌊 This tour is more than a journey — it’s an invitation to listen, learn, and connect. Cancellation Policy
Nar-Oo-Ma Aboriginal Cultural Tours reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings in the event of poor or unsafe weather conditions or insufficient booking numbers. Nar-Oo-Ma Aboriginal Cultural Tours requires a minimum of 10 guests to run a tour. In the event that your booking is unable to go ahead our friendly team will contact you to reschedule your booking or to discuss alternative arrangements. Any cancellations must be made with a minimum of 48 hours notice. If you or someone in your party is isolating due to COVID, please contact us directly to discuss your cancellation or to rebook your tour for an alternative date.
